Saturn; Definitely not writing home (for real)..

Yesterday I found out that even with tripod legs fully extended and balancing at the edge of my kitchen roof I wasn't able to capture Saturn anymore. It's too low Part of the light path is now really blocked by the roof of my house. So May 16th was not only the first time this year but probably also my last this season....

Heh - hee Jeffrey, still commendable to be out there regardless of your writing output..!

And as for Jupiter.....well, you're right of course, you'll be getting the benefits of a good elevation from now on for a few years.....we'll have to do some serious travelling if we want to image it to best advantage this coming apparition: fortunately Australia is a big place and we can make up 20 degrees North if we decide to without leaving the place..!
