Suitable grab n go mount for PST?

As the above asks can anyone suggest a cheapo. stabile, grab n go mount for a PST as its a pain setting up the heq5 every time i want to use it?

Most guys I know just use sturdy camera tripods for their PST's. I do the same with an ST80 filtered for white light and it's fine.

AZ4 or Vixen Mini Porta would both suit.

AZ3 is a cracking mount for this scope, you dont point high enough to have the balance issues, its cheap as chips and has come decent slo mos so all you will ever need. Slo mos for me are a must have for solar, only reason i sold my az3 is due to the skytee2

the az3 comes with a 120st so has a decent capacity, only issue is the zenith balance issues

Weight limit for the AZ3 is a bit variable, depending on how well set up it is. Modification by adding a counterweight bar/system adds further to its ability. It's more than man enough for a PST, or a pair side by side - or even for a Lunt 60! 80mm or 90mm long refractors are used on them. With counterweight options, think 5" Maks and 5" to 6" short refractors!

+1 for the AZ3, I've used one with a PST for years including a pair set up as a binocular.

i would say AZ3 i mounted mine on my EQ2 as i had tracking motors on there.
