Quick Eyepiece question, TMB or BST?

Recommended Posts

I would say both are good for the money. A lot of people like the BSTs, though I haven't used one. The TMB I have is very sharp in a long focal length scope (mine is f10) but a bit fluffy round the edges at f4.7. Should be fine in your Tal.

I have BST explorer 15mm and 25mm and TMB Planetary II 9mm, all from Skies the Limit - I prefer the BSTs if anything. Give some lovely views through my TAL. Alan at skys the limit does let you try the different eps (as Knobby said in his post). It woudl be worth giving Alan a ring maybe? I found him very helpful

Following this thread with interest... Just bought a 25mm BST and 5mm TMB.

Was advised by Alan both are a good choice for fast scopes where you want a bit more sharpness than just in the centre of your eye piece...
