Some good views tonight real clear

Went out at about 10ish and with the sky s clear and even more stars than usual .

Anyways seen a few things which I was not too sure what they were.

1) just a white dot moving across the sky fast and was quite clear then all of a sudden vanished . This was heading east.

2) same as above but headed north.

Ther than that I seen quite a few shooting stars (quick streak of white light .

Anyone else seen these ?

probably satelite's there are loads but the Heavens-Above Home Page will let you find the one's you have seen hopefully.

That would be satellites there's 1000's of them....

i have seen 2 iridium flares tonight- checked on Habove at were 22.23 and 22.30

We saw the international space station go over too about 10.30 which was slow moving and bright

Satellites, you can watch online live when the ISS goes over (think it's a 15 sec delay) when you see it vanish ~(goes into Earth shadow) you'll see it 15 secs later darkening on the screen on the PC

Yes we saw the ISS pass at 10.10-10.12 very bright tonight.

SFlowers and our daughter saw a shooting star so bright I saw the flash on the ground! wasnt quite quick enough to lift my head and see the streak though But almost made up for it seeing a faint shooting star through the polar scope setting up

Yea views were remarkable.

Wish I could of got the station in the scope.
