Do I need an extension tube?

I was balancing my 300pds today so I can mock up my mount. I balanced it with a 26mm panaview in the focuser and when I was finished measuring and the like I thought I'd have a look through it, but it would only focus with the eyepiece fully out of the focuser. Now as I haven't got it up and running yet I'm wondering do I need an extension tube or should I wait until I've collimated it. and check it again then.

Yes i had the same problem with my 28mm i got a 35mm tube,but this was to much for four other eyepieces.

Trying to think do I use the ex tube with a 26mm on a 250p ds I think I do but not with a camera. PS only with a 2" 26mm

I have ended up with a selection of extension tubes. Didn't think I would need any but find them essential for different tasks. Currently I have 20, 35 & 50mm tubes. Don't try hanging eyepieces halfway out the focuser or it will end in disaster!

Where bid you get the 20mm tube if you dont mind me asking.

Thats ok then, is there prefered extension tube or will any make do?

I use the one that come with it, But it do spend more time in the box , As I can not think of the last time and for what .

All of my Hyperoins need a 2" extender, there are cheap one and there are better ones, the astro make are in the better league they have a brass band that compress onto the EP not a point of a thumb screw, so go the extra mile and get quality...)
