Finally got some good seeing :-)

Syrtis Major was dominant in the southern hemisphere and in the northern hemisphere Utopia surrounded the now tiny polar ice cap. Clouds could be seen on the preceding limb of the planet and the following limb showed a definite phase.

Great sketch David. I gave my 6" f5 a good test last night and managed to see the bulk of these features at about 150-200x. Syrtis Major certainly is quite obvious currently.

Excellent capture and good details. I haven't had a good night of good seeing to capture much detail so far of Mars. Thanks for sharing.
