QHY 5 Frame Rate

Hi

Well if it clears will try some lunar imaging tonight, what sort of frame rate should I be looking for using the QHY5 (there is plenty written about the SPC but not the QHY5)

Hmmm

the QHY5 isn't a video camera, so there's no frame rates.....

You just take a series of images and then stack them etc.

The QHY5 is a video camera. Taken from ModernAstronomy site :-

At maximum resolution (1280x1024, good for lunar mosaics) the framerate is 15fps, at 640x480 (good for planets) the framerate is 50fps.

I stand corrected!

I have the original QHY5 and never managed to get it running as a video camera....

Hmm something else to try....
