Orion over my house

Hi folks well this will be my first widefield image as i only have the standard 18-55mm kit lens at the moment and even though i have tried a good few times i normally dont have any good results but this one came out not too bad . Equipment used was a Canon 1000d and the standard 18-55mm kit lens , unfortunately i forgot what settings and focal length i used

Nice shot, looks like you got the focus just right

If you right click on the photo (when you have the folder it lives in open and you can just see the thumbnail) and select 'Properties' it will tell you everything about it. eg focal length, ISO, exposure length etc

It says here, 55mm/f5.6 @ ISO800.
