Low Moon, 15the Feb 1012

Yet again, woke up to what looked like the end of a very clear night. Typical.

Anyway... was greeted with a very low, luvly lookin' Moon, and the sky still a deep blue colour.

Taken on the 7D, through the 100-400L @ 400mm, on tripod with mirror lock-up on and cable release.

200 ISO :: f/9 :: 1/100th sec (full frame) :

100 ISO :: f/9 :: 1/50th sec (cropped) :

Post-processing : minimal, slight sharpening and noise reduction.

I agree Steve... the inclusion of the tree, albeit out of focus, lends perspective and familiarity to the scene.
