Transit of Venus

I'm going to be in Turkey when the Transit of Venus occurs so I'm going to be taking some binoculars with solar film on them but foes anyone know of any sites that say what time it will occur or if anybody knows? cheers

We had an excellent talk by Prof Martin Hendry of the Uni of Glasgow at Aberdeen Astronomical Society's meeting last night in the Cromwell Tower Observatory, Kings College, University of Aberdeen, on Captain Cook and the Cosmic Yardstick. His voyage to Tahiti to measure the length of the transit of Venus was fascinating to learn about - there will be more announcements soon I'm sure on activities across the UK, and globally.

I bought a Solarmax 60 and a travel size GP2 for a VT trip to the Far East. Needless to say, I'm really looking forward to it.
