So this is my attempt taken with the kit in my signature

2 hours worth of 120 sec exposures at ISO 800 wanted to try and control the damn star, quite happy but feedback always appreciated.

Seamless. While in Photoshop mode have you considered a shorter stretch just for Alnitak?

Your reflector has done really well on Alnitak, it must be said. It's a fine image.

It's a great photo except for Alnitak which has taken over the whole frame.

There must be a way to take some shorter subs & layer them with a mask

to overcome the enormous dynamic range.
