Buying my First scope

Hi again..Is the Skywatcher Skyliner 200P Dobsonian as good as the SAXON 8" Dobsonian Telescope .Also is the

Skywatcher Black Diamond 8" Collapsible Dobsonian Telescope as good as the other 2.

I would appreciate any opinions..Thanks Steve

I think the saxon is a rebranded version of the skywatcher, usually at a higher price, the collapsible 200 is good for storage and transporting, but you would need a light shroud to go with it, best to stick with the standard 200p

I'd go with the solid tube skywatcher. The only advantage the the truss tube offers is ease of storage and portability, especially with scopes of 12" and up. I'm sure someone might chip in with the fact that a truss tube may cool down quicker but performance wise, there will be no discernible difference.
