k3 ccd tools does a good alignment on animations Stuart, theres a tutorial on there too. The data looks good enough for a tighter alignment. if you can download a trial of k3. Though it will be a avi, not animated gif like some prefer

Thanks for your comments guys! Cheers Neil I will take a look at the k3 ccd tools option, all I did with this was add the images to Windows movie maker so its really just a very fast slideshow.

Was this taken with the webcam as i am having problems picking up jupiter with mine, just stops picking up light sources as soon as i seem to train it on jupiter for some reason

also what settings do you use? I have set the camera properties to ones i have found on her and have some in sharpcap as well, but wondered what you were using to compare

Phillips SPC 880, i'm gonna try on another laptop to make sure that is not the problem. Only reason i haven't added to that thread is its not Jupiter thats the problem, the webcam just stops picking up any light but will post
