I'm quite pleased with the results I've had with a DSLR at prime focus - admittedly it would be much more challengning with your scope which has twice the focal length and is more sensitive to seeing conditions.

I think i will be sticking with A-focal, maybe if i get a chance to image with webcam on a night of near perfect seeing maybe barlow out to f30

Don't blame you Jules. WEBCAM: Maybe another 50 stitched images you might get to see the whole terminator. COMPACT: One shot A-focal and all done

I'm still waiting to give the moon a go with my new toy.

the beauty of A-focal, you can vary the amount of magnification, where the webcam is 6.3 x focal length

Im looking forward to some luna imaging with my 180 I have all the gear sorted, its in the right place so of course its cloudy.........

Ill not start with a mosaic though I need to get some better alignment and use EQmod for that.
