Toucam + Slr Lenses

Hi Chaps,

Just got in from quite a nice evening after gales and rain, setup the HEQ5 and Toucam with Slr lenses.

Here's the results average exp of 30 secs and stack of 20...

Not so great focus was off some what..

Looks promiseing just need to focus a little better me thinks..

So your hooking a webcam up to some digital slr lenses? That's awesome! I didn't even know that was possible and just look at your results... how do you do it?

Yep just need to get the focus sorted there and you will have yourself great images there.

I bought an adapter off Ant that screws into thr lens thread of the Toucam Pro sc1.5 and used old Olyumpus Slr Lenses. Should get some great results once the foucussing is spot on quite hard to do with this arrangement.

I wonder how much use you'll get from this sort of set up once you get that 300D and zoom lense...

Focusing was the one really hard issue for me when I tried, once that's nailed then you going to be in for some stonkers...

That is actually the reason that I bought it for in the forst place! Good Luck... need to get that focus nailed - once you do mark the lens / adapter so you can get back there nice and easy.

Focussing has been made a little easier Ant by placeing insulating tape around the toucams lens thread this gets the camera closer to the lens and i have more play in the focussing range now should be quite easy.. I will make a mark matey.
