Northern lights from Saskatchewan Canada

Recommended Posts

Hello everyone,

I was visiting Canada a couple of days ago for work. While working late at night in a field on a combine prototype, a colleague said clouds were rolling in ... I said, wow those are the Northern Lights!

So I dropped everything, grabbed the Nikon D90 and shot these.

I have seen them once before in Norway, and once again it felt fantastic to see them!

Processing might a bit off as I am posting from a netbook. Hope you like them.

Lovely series of shots, however a little bit of Imagenomic noise reduction would greatly improve things, giving them a much smoother, less speckled look.

Thanks for the suggestion, I have run them through Neatimage to clean up the noise a little.
