HI SGL,

I normally do deep space pics, but I wa sout messing about with the 8 SCT at Jupiter the other night.

I was wondering what the black blob bt bottom left of center is, (on the northern band?). Its not a dust bunny as I moved Jupiter on the chip and t remained in the same place. Its looks a little oval to be a transit shadow.

Any ideas. 700 frames from 1800 DMK21 amd 8 inch Meade SCT

Its called a 'barge' Its an elongated dark storm that moves through the cloud belts. There are several of them on show at the moment around the globe of Jupiter.
