Red Dot Finder Packed In

My red dot finder inexplicably decided to stop co-operating with its "on" switch last night. So, this morning, I got out my little screwdriver and spent fifteen-twenty minutes looking for any obvious problem with the (very simple) electronics.

Anyone want to guess what restored it to functionality in the end?

Not batteries, no. I remembered to replace the batteries, that didn't fix the problem.

"Large hammer" is more like it...I whacked it with the handle of the screwdriver. It immediately started working again.

What type of red dot finder is it ? - there are a number of different ones out there.
