wx astrocapture & sharpcarp comparison

just wondering if anyone has done a comparison test between these two capture software titles, and if so which is best.

I've dabbled with both and would say I like sharpcap slightly better, it just seems more intuitive to use.

I used Fire Capture for the first time last night and found it easy to use and produced good results (still need to stack them though - a job for tonight ).

The "night vision" mode is good and everything is easy to find. The only thing I can't seem to get it to do is alter the frame rate & gain on the main screen. I had to use the SPC900's settings to do that.

I've still got some reading & playing to do but it's a good program.

whats best software to use on linux .deb's could install on me xubunto mini laptop

i have cheese and just installed that wxAstroCapture today.

I couldn't get wxAstroCapture to work properly on my Ubuntu Netbooks. It just refuses to recognise that I've connected a webcam!
