I did some dark frames, so I must have gone wrong somewhere.

I did the load darkframe bit in Registax (or at least I thought I did)

Perhaps you clued-up chaps could advise on the process of applying a dark frame in Registax.

That is very good indeed Geoff. You've done a good job sharpening the stars. Very focus critical these beasties and you're spot on. There's some mottling of the background as a result of the sharpening. If you use PS you can avoid that using Select/colour range. The healing brush in PS always seems an easier way of dealing with hot pixels than dark frames even though it isn't as "pure"
