Hi all,

I took some video's of AR1271 and AR1272 today with my DMK but was wondering if somone can tell me how do you add the false colour to the images that I often see in white light images ?

Any comments are welcome, I shot the videos through my 6" skywatcher refractor using a Baader solar wedge along with

the solar continium filter and standard neutral density filter.

I use one of the colour tools in Photoshop in Image adjust/colour balance. Not sure if it's the right way to do it, but seems to work.

I just added colour to one of your very nice images BTW.

As it's in B&W mode you need to change this to RGB (image adjust/mode/RGB), I did the colour balance and then lifted the saturation. YOu might want to fiddle further with this as the sunspots now need re-darkening, but just a rough demo.

This is a coloured version of one of your images, it's a bit noisy because I only had the jpg to play with but you get the idea

Thanks for posting that link Kev, it was very interesting, and explains why I have had problems trying to image with the society Coronado, but when I converted the capture to B&W it worked better. Also looks like my colouring method was right too.
