A small part of a bigger project

Recommended Posts

That's a cracking start - I love a bit of time-lapse. I haven't tried any astronomy related projects, but here's a couple of my past efforts:

Farm landscape

Flower opening

Can I ask what equipment you've used? I was planning a sequence in which I mount my SLR on a extension arm mounted on my telescope. That way the scope and night sky remains fixed in the FOV and the landscape moves as the mount tracks.

James.

No careful looking needed, Peter. BAM! There it goes! :)

What was your telescope following during the timelapse?

Nothing :icon_scratch: it was just for effect i was planning on doing an image that night but i decided not to bother as the sky wasnt great imaging....ive been very picky with the skies recently, probably why i havent done an image for ages

Great stuff Peter, I plan to try out a bit of this myself and this is more inspiration

It would be great to cut it with different angles, would be half to be over a few nights of course
