peteftm
Hi , this is another widefield shot with the nifty fifty 50mm lens last night. This is a result of 12 x 3 min subs and 5 x 3 min darks.I managed to get 8 mins unguided on the EQ5 as well but after i'd done my 3 min subs , never thought it was capable so im really pleased!I'm still very green with the processing , i've got PS but only know the basics. So if anyone can improve this image please feel welcome :-)Thanks for lookingPeter

Adz
Peter that is stunning, well done! I also have the nifty 50 and it can produce some great results. That and a driven Eq5 give superb results to price ratio Keep up the good work

peteftm
Hi thanks for all of the kind words everyone.I never expected to get images like this and it was taken in my light polluted garden! So easy to set up as well , i was polar aligned and imaging in five minutes.I used the following settings :BulbISO 800Lens stopped down to F/3.2 Ps , i should have stopped it down a bit further to F/4 to improve coma.Peter

Adz
Peter two things,How did you get the focus to infinity so well? I always struggle with that on the plastic lens.So you shouldn't use this lens on the widest aperture? Thanks,
peteftm
Hi AdamFor this image i used the live view to focus and used capella.Iv'e heard a lot of people struggle with focussing but i find it easy enough. Also people seem to stop the lens down to F4 to cut down on the coma but im no expert Peter
