Thanks for all the welcomes, every one here seems really kind and helpful. Hoping for clear skys this weekend as the moon is full but i am looking forward to view orion in the winter as Betelgeuse would be a jewel to see :)

Thanks to all has any one tried to take pics or video with a Panasonic lumix DMC-ZS7 or would I be wasting my time? I ask as a friend can lend me a camera mount.

Can't say I've tried but must be worth a go?!

As long as you're having fun and trying out stuff, go for it! You can only learn ~ It's what its all about.:)
