My new 'toy' turned up today

Just a quick test on my Konus and it looks superb. It is a big beasty, very solid.

I am so looking forward to giving this a proper first light

Excellent eyepieces. We use one on our dark sky meets and it's optically superb. You won't be disappointed on your first light.

An excellent EP I must say

"IF" you can use it in 2 inch mode as when mounted as 1.25" the fitting has a habit of working loose when you twist the EP to zoom due to the torsion required to adjust the focal length

Yup....just used this EP for the first time a few nights' ago and had the same problem in my 200p Dob. Couldn't get the fitting tight enough...was spinning around in the focuser. Changed to 2" and as solid as a rock!! lovely to use and observe through!

I am tempted to locktite or superglue the two adapter pieces together so this is not an issue. Minor design floor in an otherwise very nice EP
