James, I've double checked with my bible, Astrophotography for the Amateur by Michael Covington.

It's definitely the Olympus OM bayonet mount that you need. Jessops sell them at £11.99 (see http://www.jessops.com/shop.cfm - click 'Site Map' at bottom right of page & scroll down to T2 mounts - click 'Show All - yours is third from top of the list).

The Jessops make 20 in vinyl looks an OK buy. £9.49.

Just seen they also do a 28 in version at a £1 dearer, James. This may also be worth considering as, basically, the longer the cable release, the less likelyhood there is of going to be any vibration.

I think the 28 in is the longest that they do, James (at least according to their website). Avoid the air release model. You want a cable release that locks & allows you to walk away, leaving the shutter open.

the 28" one is excellent - I have one of those (and one of the smaller ones) . The long one is great.

I ended up with the smaller 20" one as thats all they had, plan on getting a longer one if i take to imaging with the SLR..

James, I'm quite interested in this film as it contains the word 'Elite'' in its title. Wonder if it's as red sensitive as its transparency 'cousin'? I'm also surprised that the likes of Jessops doesn't have this film listed on its website. :?

Anyway I've just ordered a roll of the 400ASA version which I will (hopefully!) test out next month. Will let you know how I get on i.d.c.
