buying second hand

Recommended Posts

1) make you mind up now before you have access

2) get an idea of the new price of your choice

3) act fast when a suitable item appears

4) have the cash available

5) be willing to travel to collect

6) make sure your other half knows what's going on! (in fact make this 1)).

other than that - enjoy!

Aim to pay 60 percent of the new price for perfect, strictly perfect, goods. Make sure you have an agreement that if if a second party confirms that the goods are not perfect the sale is annulled.

On this forum it is unlikely to be an issue.

Moonshane, I have a feeling your other half was standing very close to you when you were typing your reply, especially point no6. We are supposed to be helping new people and to that end the first and most important rule of all is that better halves should NEVER find out what we're spending - Slimfb will never own any decent kit and will only ever be allowed to own a spotter scope from Lidl!:):D

C'mon lads we've got to work together on this.:)

Clear skies

James

P.S Slimfb, there are several threads from the past which can offer you plans and building tips when constructed access tunnels into your home. There's even a thread on suitable disguises as well.:hello2:
