Processed entirely using PixInsight...which I've just started using. I think I've slightly over cooked the core and a few artifacts from the ACDNR have crept in...but feeling reasonably happy with this one..Any more subs are going to have to wait until next year as its now out of site from my garden..

I was suprised at how few images I've seen of this one...particularly as its such a nice looking spiral.

I think I may have another go at processing it though ...as the more I look at the background the worse it seems. I'm still getting to grips with PI.......

That's really nice Steve! I agree about the background though, something has been over done. I've never used PI so I can't offer any guidance though some of the background stars may be a little faded????? Just a guess.

Nice image. Face-on spiral are hard, given their low surface brightness. Well done to capture it like this.

The background does look a little soft to me too, but nothing a tweak here and their wont fix!
