Farewell Spirit! I'm still amazed how long it lasted and that Opportunity is still going! JPL have posted a video celebrating its triumphs:

Just to echo other comments, it went well beyond the warranty - what an amazing achievement for the engineers and all involved.

Here's to Curiosity and all that will accomplish. Can it last as long? I hope so.

Aye, that's what i call workmanship. It's a shame people don't take pride in their work everyday, half the stuff you own is probably designed to break when the warranty ends.

very sad, has been on borrowed time for quite a while now but just think of the knowledge we have thanks to the two rovers.
