Saturn - ED80 no IR filter

Thought I'd try this without the IR/UV filter as I'd heard that Saturn actually benefits from imaging with no IR filter.

Quite pleased given the seeing tonight.

ED80, TAL 3x Barlow, undriven Mini-Giro on Vixen P90 tripod

Nice colour Tony. For some reason the IR is supposed to be less effected by seeing and can improve monochrome planetary images esp when seeing is poor. The consensus seems to be that colour images are best with an IR block. I've never compared colour with and without but would be interesting to try.

Its at the 'long' end of the visible spectrum so it dosn't get scattered as much.
