Porrima Webcam Image

A quick Webcam image of Porrima taken after I had captured Saturn close by last night.

Seeing was fairly poor.

Taken with my 8" Newtonian and a 5x Powermate and that cheap SPC880NC webcam.

Both components nicely resolved and should get a lot wider as time goes by.

Great stuff Dave. I split visually that the other week with my 127 refractor. Conditions up till then only showed it as a figure of 8. Youve got loads of separation there.

Just goes to show what can be done with a humble webcam.

You should consider getting a copy of the freeware double star analysing software REDUC.

I've been using REDUC on and off for the past five years It's a fun and practical piece of software - highly recommended.
