Coma Cluster Abell 1656 + Quasar

Abell 1656, also known as the Coma Cluster is 300 - 400 million light years away. This image is centered on galaxies NGC 4484 and NGC 4874 and almost all the objects in this photo are galaxies. Of special interest in this photo is Quasar HB89(1256+28) which shines at mag 21, has a redshift of 2.66 which puts it at 10.8 BILLION Light Years away.

Mount: HEQ5 Pro

Imaging scope: AT8RC

Imaging FL: 1625mm

Imaging camera: Hypercam modded Canon T1i

Lights: 25 x 10 min

Calibration: 25 flat, 30 dark,

Guide scope: KWIQ Autogider

Other details: guided with PHD, stacked in DSS processed in Photoshop and Pixinsight LE

Wow..and amazing .. the more I stare at this image the more wonderful the whole thing becomes.. my daughter has tried to count the galaxies before she set off to school... she gave up she'll be late :D
