DIY Dobsonian Shroud ?

Does anyone have any lead to a DIY Dobsonian Shroud ?

I made mine for my 10" Skywatcher from a camping mat. The mat cost about £7 and was a standard 10mm closed cell foam jobby. It has a natural roll to it so it was just a matter of fitting it and cutting some slots for the fittings. I've used some velcro dots to join the 2 ends.

It took about 10 minutes to make.

you can use neoprene Economy Neoprene Rolls | Neoprene by Homecrafts direct just cut it 1" wider than you need and use velcro down the middle

Great idea, easier to sew than neoprene. And £50 cheaper than an astrozap shroud!

I made mine out of floor protection sheeting available from any good builders merchants in 8'x4' sheets. Waterproof and doesn't need wire rings to keep it's shape.

just cut to size add vecro and Bobs ya uncle. enough left to make a dew shield too.
