  1. 12" would be nice but if too big for you go with a 10" . Aperture is your friend just for observing .
  2. Thanks for your inputs friends . are the mirrors made of good quality also ?
  3. I've always been interested in Dobs but I've always liked the solid tube type . Orion has some nice ones but Zhumell also makes nice ones from my understanding . Anyone here experience one ? I like 10"-12" https://www.telescopesplus.com/products/zhumell-z12-deluxe-dobsonian-reflector-telescope
  4. I don't have a special made holder so I bought a small hardcase galvanized and I keep all my EPs' in their original boxes with end caps and that stays inside protected at all times .
  5. I've not had cataracts yet but I think they are making in the BG . But have several friends that had the surgery and one brother . Brothers was about 10 or more years ago and now says he needs it again . Others I know had the surgery and no longer need to wear glasses and say they see just fine now . If your family member has it done you can just about say it will be several months before they can do any viewing especially if they have to hold their head downward .
  6. After we have made a post and we see a mistake and want to go back and correct is there a way to edit your post ??
  7. If all I'm doing is just doing a quick scan of the sky my 10x50s' are best but when I'm looking for good objects my Celestron 15x470s' are best . I really prefer the tripod tho . Doesn't take long for me to go to shaken with my age . But Also too when you get them focused in and scan the sky like for instant comets , they always look best when there is no shake . I really like looking at the moon too ! BRIGHT sucker the moon is ! But on a very dark night and the sky is clear the Andromeda galaxie is just beautiful in those 15x70s' !
