Well done Damian, looking good. I found it possible to see the difference in the photos by using the "Page Up" & "Page Down" buttons to scroll through the images quickly, you can really see the difference in them.
Really good news that your mojo is still intact and progress is being made. The time away in May will really help things as you will come back invigorated.

I have yet to post a pic of my EP case, but I do enjoy reading everyone else's posts and oggling at the glassware. I might just have to succumb to posting a picture of my incomplete EP case

Yes, where is the case? I thought the title of this thread was "show me your eyepieces case" but people keep cluttering the pictures with eyepieces :-0Very nice collection, but where's the case??? [emoji2]

Thank you, sorry for the confusion.

Hi Derek,
In really simple terms you should be able to see perfectly straight lines across the full face of the mirror. The dark lines show where the beams of light have cancelled each other out. Others, including Damian will give a more definitive answer.

This tale is better than "The Archers" , I'm hooked !
Nick.
To be fair this isn't quite as Eastenders as the Archers is becoming ;-0

Cheers soupy.
My second attempt at a lap was a complete disaster with the pitch actually getting onto the mirror
I have managed to get the lap and most of the foil off and now it is soaking with turps sub's to dissolve the pitch.
Another set back which if it means going back again due to scratches will be a massive blow :-(
Does not sound good. Just think - when you have finished this epic journey, you will be able to look back and laugh about it. i know you probably don't think that now, but wait until you are at some star party somewhere and you recount this to somebody else, you will say it with a smile on your face (maybe even gritted teeth)

Hi Damian,
Really enjoying this thread. Very well documented, that is a job in itself. I look forward to following this through to its conclusion. Keep up the excellent work and postings. Missed you at Galloway.

Hi John & wife,
Welcome to SGL, I am sure you will both have a ball with that new scope.

I don't want to worry you but half of the eyepiece bottom right is beginning to fade away.
That's what I thought when first saw the picture

Absolutely Fantastic. Congratulations on a very engaging, entertaining and very informative piece of work. It is obvious how much work you have put into this. Well done.

Hi Mike,
That is a mighty fine looking EP case / collection.I am aiming for something similiar. Could i ask what made you go for the Delos at the shorter F/L rather than continuing with the Naglers. Was it becasue there are not Naglers at the precise focal length you wanted or needed i.e. you went for a 10mm Delos because there is only a Nagler at 11 or 9mm. Or is it due to the difference in FoV. I would be interested in your thoughts.

Hi mert,
You mention the 1.25" 24mm Panoptic, have you considered the 26mm Nagler. You have not not mentioned a top budget, but you may be able to get a 26mm Nagler second hand for what you want to spend on the 27mm Pan. I have just recently purchased the 26mm nag and i am very pleased with it. Certainly the extra Fov is an eye opener (no pun intended).

Dan, that is fantastic. It looks like you are very handy working with wood as your workshop looks well equiped. It is also very magnanimous of you to post the plans for all. I am not a woodworker by any means but really feel the urge to undertake this project.
Once again well done and thanks for posting

Is it also the fact that the SPC880 will onmly work on a Windows XP machine, however once you have flashed it, it will work on any version of windows - XP and above.
Not sure on this, but that is what I had gleaned from reading all the posts.
Show me your eyepiece/accessories case, please.
