Just heard that The Astronomer Royal John Brown suddenly passed today - so sad, a true legend that remembered Mike only a few days ago.

Oh no, that’s terrible news. Deepest condolences to family and friends.

Great images, well done on capturing them and being able to capture them. Each to their own but I personally prefer the WL images.

Well captured. Could you tell us what equipment you used and the processing you did?
Completely clouded out here. I was going to take a solar scope to work but between the wind, clouds and rain it would have been pointless 🙄

Hi,
Glad you and Christina made it home safely. Good to see you both and eat some cake 👍.Bit of a bummer having your original crossing cancelled.
-
Well done, very impressive. I am not arty at all.

Arrived back at 1645, uneventful journey.
Gratitude to Mike for all his efforts over the years, here’s to many more. Thanks also to Leslie and Ralf for the very generous banquet and for running a fabulous campsite that is always welcoming.
Great to see new and old faces.
Damian,
What was that galaxy that eluded you, UGC7490? I was told that 2 people on site on the Saturday, bagged it😮

Damian,
What settings are you using using for your time lapses?
-
Car isn’t big enough for that

Does anyone on-site want me to get them anything from Tesco when I am on my way up this evening? Sensible requests only please.
-
Hi Adrian,
Thanks for the offer but I can definitely get it up!!!
Going to erect my tent on Thursday morning, feel free to watch 😜

Glad you had a good session last night Dai.
Will pack most of the car this evening and set off after tea tomorrow.
Off to have a drink now to calm my nerves after paying for the clutch replacement. Oh well, at least it works and I can make it up when I had originally planned.

Well, it looks like two more half decent nights for those that are there early, then i arrive for 4 days of rain
Never say never. Conditions can change very either way.

Even if conditions are not ideal for a SP, it’s always good to attend all the same, as it’s good to meet up with people with a common interest just for the crack.
In this case it is understandable as pitches and the site as a whole is not viable.
Other Star parties are available😇

Really sorry to hear this news. So disappointed for all of the organisers and attendees.
Bad news never comes at a good time 🙄

Damian, I hope you didn’t do any “industrial” repairs to Mike’s mount, like you did to his last laptop😜
Then again, I hope Derren didn’t stick his mucky mits into the job😇

It was a bit fresh riding to work on my bike this morning, hopefully that meant you guys had a good observing night.

As long as it's not your whiskey. 😀
Phil, really? How likely do you think that is? 😂 More likely to forget my sleeping bag or tent 😮
