  1. I have wanted to do an astro shoot at the Lone Tree at Half Tide Rock for a while the problem is that the alignment is East North East so would possibly work for an early in the year shoot of the Milky Way. However, it did look promising for a possible shot of the Comet. This was the planned shot I had visualised, it's made up from around 6 landscape images put together into a vertical panorama - Canon Eos R, 15-30mm Tamron, f2.8 - each shot was 25 seconds, f2.9 at ISO 6,400. Of course the comet was around to the right behind the tree the foreground is illuminated by a very basic set of LEDs built into my baseball cap. This is looking back along the coast to the light pollution of Exmouth, I could not access the beach due to the very high tide... Moving around the walkway, I was then able to shoot further to the east - this time I managed to get the comet... I was hoping it was going to be a bit brighter & more visible, but then I was shooting at 15mm When I checked my earlier shots I was then really pleased to find that I did actually have the tree with comet - just the alignment of the tree and steps was not so great.... Just to give you a hand to show you where it is. Hopefully I will get another chance to shoot Leonard, fingers crossed it gets a bit brighter

    Newbie starter for Ten

I wanted to post some of my astro attempts to-date to get some feed back about what I could do differently and how I could improve
