  1. Superb case Yong. And the two new additions a great example of excellence at both ends of the market
  2. Agree with John - don't see these relatively new Vixens much on the forum. Interested to hear your thoughts on how they perform.
  3. Lovely! You're not in the funeral trade by any chance are you Ealin? Welcome to SGL
  4. Thanks Cometeer - I had been following this thread on CN but had missed the last few days - what's interesting about the Feathertouch is it seems to centre the sweet spot - something I'd very much welcome in my own scope. I like the look of the Moonlite but at the moment am favouring the single speed Feathertouch
  5. Good to see this thread spring back into life. Moonlite looks v smart Garry. I'm waiting to see what the Feathertouch for the Lunt will be like before deciding - but interested to hear what you think of your new focuser. John - good to see your beautiful DL primed for white light. I'm close to pressing the button on an FC-100DC at the moment, and if I have any change left, which frankly is unlikely, a Lunt wedge wouldn't go amiss.
  6. Final question Stu, I promise. Is your Tak a DC, DF or DL? Presume not a DL as it's longer? Not easy to find detail about these scopes on the web. If I can put together an airline-friendly package for the FC 100 then I'm pretty much decided this is my next scope. Sell my much loved Mak and Equinox - Edge 8 and FC-100 will meet all my needs. Might pop up to the International Astro Show in Coventry at the weekend to see if Ian King has any on display.
  7. Stu - this looks amazing. I've been wondering about the FC100 and airline portability, and this is the first evidence that it's actually possible. Does your case meet the cabin restrictions on all airlines - ie the easyjets and ryanairs as well as the more expensive carriers? And where did you get the case from? Congratulations on a very nice travel set up. Looks like another meeting with my bank manager is in order.
  8. Very nice cases John. How do you find the Tak LE 30?
  9. Great stuff. I notice it's already on the telescop express site in Germany - but at the slightly heart stopping price of 423 euros.
  10. Look forward to hearing how it performs James. Though frankly who cares when it's that handsome?
  11. Looks stunning James - and credit to you for spearheading its development. Will wait to hear uk prices but think this comprehensively out-blings the feather touch
  12. Following my recent post just wanted to say goods ordered from 365 came first thing the next day - thanks to Zoltan
  13. Just wondering what's going on at 365? I put in an order for £273 worth of gear almost a month ago, had the order confirmed and processed, but since then have heard nothing. Sent a couple of emails last week but they went unanswered. Txted and phoned yesterday and today but no response. Normally get very good service.
  14. Not meant as in any way feasible suggestion - but as ever with SGL I've learnt something from the expert responses
  15. Maybe Al Nagler could design a range of orthos with 20mm eye relief? Case complete!
  16. Nice addition Michael - can never have too many diagonals. As far as the case goes, I make that room for three more Delos/XWs on row five, and that's before we even start thinking about how to fill the as yet non-existent row six
  17. That's a very interesting case Stu. Most of us talk about 'rationalising' our bloated EP case but you actually do it. Are you sure you've not forgotten to list a Leica zoom or some such eyepiece?
  18. It's a thing of beauty James - thanks for posting. Think that shade of Lunt red will be the one to go for.
  19. I think I'll sit out this debate. My knowledge of light refraction reached a peak with grade C at Physics O level, 36 years ago.
  20. Star struck: I'm hopeful of reaching focus with WO binoviewer and T2 Zeiss prism in my C8 Edge - what's your set up?
  21. Think I prefer the stripped down look Bart. ES has certainly improved its design team since the original was designed
  22. Very nice Mark. I know we're not supposed to be swayed by such frivolous things, but I do like the clean, 'family' design of ES eyepieces. They look smarter lined up together than pretty much any brand on the market in my humble opinion.
  23. waldemar - I'm a zoom lover and can warmly recommend the Pentax XF zoom for ha solar - originally designed for a spotting scope, it's a superb solar eyepiece.
