Thanks
This was taken with the TS71 imaging star.
I got the Tak collimator for the RC.
I do have an FS102 and FS60 though both doublets, the 60 is out on loan at the moment.

Good capture Gav.
It took me about 10 attempts before I got one.

Lovely image Steve works so well in mono, sort of makes want to delete the 3 hours I did with my Canon, which didn't pass muster compared with this. Must try harder.
Alan
Thanks.
Stick with it Alan the more you do the better it gets .

Alan
I have been using that sort of exposure on the "squid" for about 3 years.

I wasn't aware we could get this up in the Midlands, I'm going to have to research as I would love to do this, probably because I was getting confused with the Fighting Dragons.
Lovely capture BTW.
Thanks
I did stretch it harder but brought it back as the noise I thought the noise was coming through.
This one is in Cygnus and I have seen it called the flying dragon somewhere else esp with this orientation.

I did this with a 60 and a x2.5 powermate .
It has been a journey as up till this image I have been plagued with NR's when using the powermate, I hope that I have the tilter set up now.

Certainly brought more out.
I have a few Ha subs on this and I might try that technique.

Excellent work Steve, this is one major object that I regret not being able to image from my location.
Thanks.
We can try a swap with Eta Carina if you like for a couple of months 🤣

I got it the other night with the C11, the idea was to try and image it but It was really too close to the moon.
It showed a very small blue disc with a 7mm eyepiece giving approx 400x. with the 20mm it showe as a good colour contrast "double" with Phi.
later i also nabbed Uranus slightly bigger and a pale grren/blue disc.
I really must do more visual with the SCT as the streetlamp does not really effect the planets and doubles.
