Pretty much the same here too :-)

  2. . My current ep case is a baby wipe box. No foam but they are all capped and in the individual "cases" they came in. I realize when I get more I may have more than one ep case but that's okay

  4. Gonna check some stars in New York :)

  5. In the Phoenix sky harbor now , layover for buffalo new york

  6. Still wondering how my dew shield started coming off, it went back into place when I was putting the lens cap on more securely

  7. I am hoping that soon enough I can have my new 1.25 eyepieces. I love the format I have as well. I just want to be able to use filters as well. I know most of the time I am in light polluted skies and the use of a filter is beneficial even if by a small fraction. I still have yet to discover which telescope for me four millimeter, but that's okay. Right now , I just want to focus on getting more eps and some filters.
  8. So it looks like 4mm is too powerful for my shorty scope. Unless I just need to get a extender for the tube. I will try the 4 mm on the other scopes I have and figure out which one is the best fit. I love wide view eyepieces but I only have one. It's okay though because I have an assortment, I can better get an idea of the eyepieces I enjoy more.
  9. Monsoon season sucks but ordering new things to help

  10. The past few nights have been having rain interfering with my stargazing plans. On a side note, my husband has a job interview in San Antonio texas, if all goes well, I'll be under new skies soon.
  11. Bats are greAt for pest control. As are frogs. There is an endangered species of bats that roost near El Paso, and I've seen a handful of them myself at night. First few times they've surprised me.
  12. been raining every day or been really cloudy

  13. Yep but it's the answer I'm going to accept since it has me the least afraid
  14. Lol either way I did the right thing but I found out what it was at work. One of our apes got out and apparently went a bit of ways from the zoo. But since the press didn't find out, nobody got hurt, so it's a low key thing and oddly enough the orangutan that adores me was found waiting outside its exhibit to be let back in.
  15. Texas is a large state there are different wildlife across the state, we have the occasional bear, deer, mountain lion, opossum, skunk, armadillo, near where I live there are oryx that are usually found in Africa but due to a sheik presenting El Paso with a few as a gift, we have them. There are also mountain goats in the mountains.
  16. Well, there are trees but at the same time where I live is more like suburban not quite urban but not quite rural, one side has a rural feel the other side has a urban feel. And the tapping noise sounded almost like when two sticks are smacked on each other
  17. So I was able to use my 40mm to see the moon last night on my 50mmaperture 700mm focal telescope. I was fixing to try out another of my new eps when I heard tapping noise and couldn't figure out where it was coming from but I did see a tall dark figure a few hundred yards off. The way it was moving, I think it wasn't human but couldn't tell for sure so I decided to just go back inside.
  18. Rained last night so no looking through the scope last night

  19. Patiently awaiting for the full moon

  20. New ep still hasn't arrived, last scan was from vegas

  21. well, I have discovered that some eps I own while considered cheap, are well crafted and even if I part with a scope, I wouldn't part with a good ep, unless I have another one of equal quality. I have upgraded from the cardboard box, to a baby wipe box for my eps, works we'll for home use. Keeps them together and not scattered about.
  22. My new eps have arrived :)

what eps have you bought, do they come with free clouds

  23. I think it is because most of the time the thought of higher price equals higher quality is true. However it is possible to get high quality for not too high of price.
  24. My current ep case is literally a small cardboard box. It's temporary for now. But it works for where I put it in when not using.
