  1. I have the 20x100 lightquests..eye relief is 20mm...which is great for me as i have to wear specs whilst viewing...i find them very good for both lunar and stars...they need a sturdy tripod and good head though as they weigh nearly 4kgs...
  2. The az4 i have with the pier ext must weigh at least the same...had rather...just sold it it
  3. Like the sound of "overkill" plus its got the extra height over the 18 uni which should suit me fine...
  4. Yes the df john...you prefare the ercole to the sky tee ?
  5. Got the az4 at the moment..had it to bits..degreased it and redone with teflon grease but it still sticks and feels notchy and its doing my head in now....im thinking about the Berlebach tripod UNI 28 uni and the GIRO ERCOLE Altazimuth Mount..for my 4 inch frac that weighs around 5.5 kgs fully kitted...opinions on both please.. Regards keith
  6. Tele vue 2 inch x 2 inch ext tube... as new... complete with end caps... £30 inc uk postage..no paypal...thanks..keith NOW SOLD...
  7. For sale..brand new 47mm clicklock ext...£64 new...will take £44 inc postage to uk.....pm me for any further details... no paypal.. thanks Keith...
  8. I use my tak 7.4 on the AZ4 Steel Legged version, very sturdy mount for a 4 inch frac and easy to use...no complaints here..apart from the 12 weeks of cloud and mist that came with my tak... congratulations on the new taks.. Keith
  9. Its exactly the same here on the east coast...clear until dusk then the clouds or mist roll in... had 3 clear nights since mid september and even then only for an hour max.....im pleased it only takes a minute or so to set up the frac and az4....
  10. Now i know where i went wrong..think it was the 27mm pan he was using...
  11. No danger stu but wasnt a good feeling afterwards... probably got me more being used to a 4" frac and not a light bucket
  12. Be careful looking at the moon if its near full or full Corkey.. i once did with a mates 12 inch dob...no filter in the ep.. gave me a migraine from hell for a day or two... Keith
