The details of the capture are on this image, the meteor was on two frames, the head was faintly green and the trail spanned several frames. This image is a composite of all the frames. Allsky camera facing East on an inside window ledge running AllSkEye.
This was the platesolve, given the location I'm hopeful it was a Leonid.

I've been doing 25 second images in 27 second windows using allskyeye.
Got one early this morning, I'll share an image and details later

As you already have a driven EQ mount and DSLR I would look at second hand camera lenses to broaden the targets he could enjoy imaging at the moment, given with a home made voucher to redeem with you later when choice is better.
-
When viewed on my mobile (which eats stars) the second image appears to have lost nebulosity.

Yes didn’t notice any CA at all and just using the Svbony moon & skyglow filter. Specs say it is fully multi coated with a BAK4 prism. Focal length is 11.2.
I notice that the C70 specs just say multi coated unlike the Svbony’s fully multi coated so maybe the C70 prisim isn’t fully coated?
I missed the reply earlier, this is the C70 prism.

Affinity was also covered in one of the great StarGaZine zooms, here

yes I find file groups works and putting the calibration files in the right ones.

That has more colour in it, worth the wait on the stack process

Well done all, super target and lovely data. Far easier to expand processing knowledge with as any warts are usually of my creation rather than the data I capture myself where I'm not sure if it's me or the data anyway.

If it is DSO captures then for stacking amongst others
SIRIL already mentioned and Deep sky stacker (DSS)
For processing in addition to the above there is StarTools which is very capable and reasonably priced.
If planets/Moon for example
sharpcap or firecapture to capture video
for processing the video planets/moon
registax or autostakkert
-
The cosmetic tab leaving on hot pixel removal can also remove star centres, though no seen on your image, doesn't wipe clear the hot pixels up.

Is the tripod for home use or to travel with, if at home could you place the virtuoso on a garden table or a three legged stool. If out and about could just use the telescope OTA on a tripod.

Happy-kat, yes I guess that would be a reasonable, but my Step 2 will see me progress to a tracking mount. If I can't use filters on my selected camera/lens combination I'll have to change the camera. This looks like it could force me down the Canon route after all!
Why not look around this thread and see where member's are putting a filter when used with this lens with what camera.

Thanks Happy-kat, but doesn't that stopper the lens down? Won't I be losing aperture?
Depending on lens size you could loose some aperture, but leness are not always used wide open as likely to expose lens aberrations, and step rings don't generate defraction spikes.

Love seeing the design work drawings even before the printed results, good luck with the build.

Initially you could start without a filter as your static mount will dictate exposure length with the lens used and not likely your light pollution from bortle 8
-
Using step rings 2" filters can be attached to the front of a camera lens.

Was testing the field flattener with the evoguide, it's only 50mm fl 246mm f4.9 and coupled with a canon 1100d and no barlow the Moon did not fill the frame. Seeing that night couldn't have been great coupled with I only had 6 stills to play with. ISO 100, 1/320. The moon is only taking up 425x445 pixels and I didn't want to push sharpening any more. Registax6 for stacking and wavelets, I found autostakkert faster and simpler but the end image had less clarity. 17/10/2021 21:44 Moon 92.1% illuminated waxing gibbous

Astrobin is a great site to look around and use the search to see what might have been taken with what equipment

The good news it has been confirmed it was a leonid fireball, I logged the event yesterday and had a reply this morning.
