    1st light with the SW 130-pds, could not be happier with the upgrade from the SW 130-p :D

    , just got to work, got out the car and saw the biggest meteor burn up right over head, it was amazing, made me day haha, I was well surprised seeing such a big one with the full moon out, the moon is looking amazing too, really big and orange lol ☺

      July 29 was the peak of one of the minor showers that according to Wiki has bright meteors, just not many even at the peak, actually very few. Will say that showers and peaks seem to mean little in terms of what I can observe.

    the skies are looking clear tomorrow night! i cant wait, i think im going to try imaging the Leo Triplet, astro darkness from 10pm with the 60% moon rising @ 2am so im hoping to get around 4 hours on the Leo Trio

      Had a crack last night, not a great effort but I did catch it. I think the moon was still playing a part. Sunday is probably a better night for it.

      You need to tweak your settings, anything over 2min is a problem.

    Got me an EQ5 with dual motors and a polar scope coming, time to enter the world of EQ from my AZ! lol i think i will be doing the Quatermass mod to the motor handset so i can guide with it :D MUCH EXCITED

      Get some practice in without the mod first as I was advised to do, if you jump in at the deep end with mods & guiding etc you'll be swamped :) Good luck mate.

    realllly looking forward to imaging the moon and widefields (no scope) this year :)......really want a canon 10-22mm but soo pricey :(

    Saturn only getting to 30 degree's this year! great! wont even get above my garden tree's with 30 degree :( grhhh lol so dark spot for any sight of saturn this year...
