Also it's a bad time of year for M31 as it's low down. My image was a quick test to see if it really exists. I'll do hopefully 10 hours osc on it later in year when it's higher and darker.

personally, i like this a lot. it looks 'real' whatever real is

I was too lazy to take flats last night for 1 hour m52 and 1 hour m31. Ive only done a quick test stretch on M31 and already regret it.

Lol that's very kind of you to say but they're rubbish. I only show you to see how same image can look different after processing and at the time I wasn't trying to make them different "hues" (?).

Maybe just try the colour saturation in siril?
-
Er, your image is really not far off epic as far as I'm concerned. If you're looking for red blobs, that's usually from hydrogen alpha emissions via a filter added back in. With a modded dslr you might have to extract it via siril script then composite it back in to taste as a luminance channel via siril? I'm fairly new so bare that in mind ;( Also galaxies seems to be portrayed as mostly white/blue more than yellow. But I don't know if that is a choice or reality, see my own attempt few months ago

Doubt it. Maybe on your back

Much nicer than the one hour I got last night. Maybe a tad orangey? Did you try photometric colour calibration in siril? Looking closer, your image is even more much much nicer than mine. Your core is so much less blown out than mine and you also have more detail throughout. And 3x longer subs than me...I only done a quick preview stretch on mine. I'll try get another hour on it tonight if lucky.

Chrome remote desktop might be worth a look?

My current thinking is an intel nuc. £60 used off eBay hopefully.

Cost me £514 all in with a filter drawer and one or one filter holders. And either a UV/ir cut filter or DNb or maybe both but unlikely. And a power supply. Or not. If it arrives and works well it's a bargain I think. ATM I'm thinking should have got zwo 585 uncooled and drawer set from a UK shop. If you have filters and stuff £460 sounds great....

Free osc data sets?

March 15th ish 20 June and a session in may and one on April of dubious quality. roughly 1 hour each. stars a bit iffy lol Dodgy JPGs only from my phone sorry. My screen is so bad png or jpg don't matter. If I could get a score for individual subs quality I'd benefit form the video gameness. Upload servers taste filter possibly blocking my upload of images. -
Free osc data sets?

I added one hour to my m51 project last night. 50% more exposure time really did make a noticeable improvement. If only someone on here had mentioned that I actually almost enjoy failing because in a way, I can mostly then do the opposite and fail less. Or another way for slightly different or maybe less fail. I mean weather is my current bottleneck to learning. Too soon in my (lack of) progression to think other stuff will help. Except a 533 osc of course. -
Free osc data sets?

I ran green noise exterminator on a posters recent m57 (think it was) image last night and thought my version looked reasonable. Until I saw the carastros and vroobels versions. I'm not sure I'm at a stage for anything more than osc and free software right now. 6 months ago I thought my slowly one tripod leg slipping back up was all the tripod I could even need. Then I put a 5kg mount on it 2 months later. Yes I was warned -
Free osc data sets?

Not frustrated yet, but I'm at a stage where it's hard to know if better software will improve my end results yet. Or improving my skills in general more will. Once my 533 camera arrives it might help me reach that moment of epiphany sooner. Also when I get narrowband filter(s) eventually. Siril seems a bit of a faff for osc plus narrowband maybe also with narrowband alone too. Hopefully apt free version does sensor analysis because my ultra budget 533 doesn't even come with the obligatory 12 months free sub. Right now I'd rather use some of the pi cost for a mini pc which might perfect my balance and improve my guiding. I won't be shocked to hear that all newbs say the sort of rubbish I do on here, as I really couldn't have progressed as easily with out everyones help, but I at least want to make some appearance of making some progress on my own. Even if that's not very true. 3 to 9 days* and counting... * Doesn't include business days as plane don't fly on sat/Sundays I guess -

Hey really appreciate all this. Just my thinking at the moment is I haven't reached near the limit of free software but hopefully that time will come one day. I need to do a lot of reading before even trying pi 45 day trial and I already have a big reading list -
Processing advice please
