Proof of cloud conspiracy

This was the weather situation while I was sitting in the bus heading for the store to fetch a delivery with my new Astronomik OIII 3nm filter. The red dot marks my location:

You never guess what happens next - at 17:00 sharp I fetch my delivery:

If this is not proof of the cloud conspiracy against astronomer the I don't know.

we all already knew that... do an experiment, setup your equipment regardless of cloud cover, wait for the clouds to move away... when you get sick of waiting pack up, than look up 10 minutes later and you will see crystal clear skies.... guaranteed... now don't go setting up again, because the OTA is like a magnet for clouds and you know what will happen...

Having a permanant obsy does'nt help either.

With in an hour normally clouds of some sort appear.

This year has been particularly bad, September being the best here even though

those nights were not that good.

Climate change certainly has'nt made for clear skies here on the South Coast.

And I sit here near the edge of the desert in Saudi Arabia...

It took a lot of the summer season to get my Lunt and mount set up here and withiin days of having it working, the weather broke, we had clouds and rain, now the wind has picked up, so sandstorms are coming soon...

(Too much LP here to even contemplate night time stuff, apart from the moon)

Sucks to do astronomy anywhere.

Gordon.
