Which Camera?

I am debating between which camera to purchase for my begin in astrophotogprahy:

-Canon 450D

-Canon 100D
-Canon 1200D

Please tell me what you would recommend

-Thanks

Note: I am not looking to mod in the foreseeable future although I understand it would be of  a great help. I have seen images taken with an unmodded 450 and I believe it would be a wonderful place to start.

From these three - get the 100D. 1200D apparently has some issues - I have been advised against it when deciding on one.

Also, 450D is an old camera which used old DIGIC 3 processor. 100D has the new DIGIC 5 one.

To sum up - none of these three is the best camera for AP, but within this price range you won't get a much better one. Out of these three, in my opinion, the 100D will suit you best. Also, it's very light and small which I think is good as it doesn't add much weight to the OTA.

Based on the comparison in DxO I would say I agree with Aklalnavas; get the 100D.

I don't have one but looking at a review the 100D doesn't have a swivel screen, now this may be ok for normal photography but when attached to a scope getting down on one's knees to view the LCD on up a ladder depending where the DSLR ends up is no fun, a swivel screen is a must have, i have used a 1100d without one and it was a real pain to view, my 600D has one and its a whole new ball game with the screen aimed at my sitting postition every sub can be seen....what ever the DSLR chosen make sure it has a swivel screen.......

I guess this is a personal preference. I don't mind not having a swivel at all. Just adjust scope and tripod and in most cases I'm able to see the screen just fine.
