127 MAK tube rings

Could someone please point me in the right direction for where I can get a pair of tube rings for my 127 mak?

After a lot of time wasted looking high and low on the net, I have given up. So I have come to the holy grail of astro knowledge.

At a guess you would have to use skywatcher 140mm tube rings and shim them out with cork strips

Just found some 130mm ones, less shimming need.

If you are looking for cork sheet, try your local railway model shop, they sell small sheets of it in various thickness's

On the ones you have linked to it says a diameter of 160mm, so these would be way to large if thats the case

Oh never noticed that.

The main header at the top of the article says they are 130mm rings.

My bad, I read it wrong.

yes, to fit a 130 newt, but the rings need to be a larger diameter to compensate for the outer body tube, my 150 newt takes 180mm rings maybe a good idea to measure the outer diameter of the 127 skymax, at a guess it will be around 135mm

Cheers for that, I read it completely wrong when I first saw it.

If you do get ones which need shimming with cork give me a shout as I've got loads left after doing mine! I got the stuff designed for lying under tracks so its already the correct width :-)
