How do you clean your cleaning cloth?

Recommended Posts

I've been using my Baader microfiber cloth for almost a year now and I'm pretty sure it's about ready for a clean, but how do you do it? Should they be cleaned at all??

I was thinking a hand wash with a bit of soap would do but I'm not sure. How do you clean yours?

Hi Paul. Any optical cleaning cloth, ( mine is a Jessops microfibre ) must

absorb dust grease and other crud, so I do think an occasional wash is

called for to get rid of all this.

I use lukewarm water with some regular washing powder, leave it to soak,

give it a few squeases in the water, then several rinses in plain water.

After drying it lives in a sealable plastic bag.

Regards, Ed.
