Registax 5.1 vs 6

I just downloaded Registax 6 after using 5.1 since December. It's a lot faster on multicored systems! Here's an example of what I'm nominally getting just doing some quick re-edits of AVIs I had on my desktop. It also doesn't appear to have a built-in rotate tool so that's why the images are at different angles. First one is with Reg 5.1 second is Reg 6.

Anyone else seeing similar results?

Time was about 10 minutes with 5.1 and 2-3 minutes with 6.

Also notice the blocky image with 5.x ... multiple points and it caused weird artifacts. Didn't see any of that with 6.

That does look better, nice comparison... Looking forward to trying 6.1 properly.

Flip/Rotate is in a box on the right on the wavelet tab.

Thanks for that, useful comparison - 2nd pic looks a lot clearer - I assume you used the same settings wherever possible?

Hmm - In the Registax 6 that I have there is no box to the right of the wavelet tab.?. See attached screen shot.

Ah, click on the wavelets tab first and then there are a bunch of boxes on the right. One of them is for flip/rotate.

Its rocketship fast compared to 5. It does freeze every now and then though....Ive had to re-start it a few times.

Overall, it's a massive improvement.
