Abell 31

Hi folks!

This week I build up my mount on my balcony. Nice weather but a lot of cirrus. But I kept on, here the result of 3 nights. 26x900s Ha and 12x300s for every channel in RGB. Done with the Moravian G2-8300 and Pentax75.

Abell 31 is a very weak but large planetary nebula in Cancer.

its not one ive seen...looks like a nice object....i love the colour, i think its one ill look up and see if its do-able from here with my kit

Hi Peter,

try it! You have to do a lot of frames. One frame shows almost nothing. Narrowband with Ha and OIII could be successful. I did no OIII, but the center of the nebula has a lot of OIII.

Super image. OIII I think would be the way to go with this one. I've had a hint of this visually in my 16" with an OIII
